Jake Paul will face MMA star Cedric Doumbe in a boxing bout in Dubai on December 24. The fight will take place at the Coca-Cola Arena on Christmas Eve. Paul announced that he would fight on Christmas Eve in Dubai, following his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua last December.

Fight format

The bout will be a professionally sanctioned eight-round cruiserweight fight with 10oz gloves.

Paul's return after the Joshua loss

The fight is Paul's first since facing Joshua last December, when a sixth-round knockout blow broke his jaw. Paul had two titanium plates fitted and some teeth removed after Joshua broke his jaw during their heavyweight bout in December 2025. Paul has won 12 of his 14 professional fights, with his two defeats coming against Tommy Fury and Joshua.

The opponent and the build-up

Doumbe is a Cameroon-born Frenchman, a former kickboxing world champion and now an MMA fighter. Paul said he is rusty and that his jaw is janky ahead of the fight. Paul also said Doumbe was calling him out two years ago after knocking someone out in nine seconds, and said he would eat Doumbe for dinner in Dubai on Christmas Eve. Doumbe said he would finish the job Joshua started, referring to Paul's jaw.
