A gunman killed a woman before being fatally shot by a security guard at Citibank's office complex in Tampa, according to the sheriff. The sheriff said he targeted the campus because he was angry over a $2,500 debt collection. An executive who is part of Citibank's armed security team shot the gunman five times, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities identified the gunman as 35-year-old Jacob Pearson of Orlando. The sheriff said Pearson had no criminal history. In a phone call, Pearson threatened to go to the office with his AR-15, a bulletproof vest and what he called insanity unless the court case was cancelled, per the sheriff.

No one else was shot. Four people were treated at a hospital for minor injuries from fleeing and for medical concerns such as chest pains.
