President Donald Trump endorsed Boebert four days before the election and held a telephone rally for her. Democrat Eileen Laubacher out-raised her through mid-October, though the district has not elected a Democrat since 2008.

Four days before the election, President Donald Trump endorsed Boebert in a post on X, calling her a Maga warrior. He also held a telephone rally in support of her campaign. The endorsement came five months after he called her dumb and weak-minded for campaigning for Rep. Thomas Massie.

Boebert was reelected in 2024 by 11 percentage points, with 53% of the vote. Her 2022 reelection campaign was far closer, as she won by just 546 votes.

Eileen Laubacher has decades of military and public service. She was previously registered as a Republican, later became unaffiliated, and registered as a Democrat right before deciding to run for Congress. Laubacher out-raised Boebert, collecting $13.7 million through mid-October compared with Boebert's $1.2 million.

The 4th District is considered a Republican stronghold. The last time a Democrat was elected to represent it was in 2008. That Democrat was Betsy Markey, who lasted only one term.
