The Baltimore Ravens placed quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve on Thursday ahead of their Week 9 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jackson is dealing with a thumb injury and Huntley with a toe injury, and the moves became official hours before the game.
Undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano will get his first career start against the Jaguars. Baltimore signed Austin Reed to the 53-man roster to back up Fagnano. Reed is active and will serve as the backup behind Fagnano. Kedon Slovis, added this week from Green Bay's practice squad, is the third emergency quarterback.
The Ravens will be without starting cornerback Nate Wiggins on Thursday night, as he is inactive against Jacksonville. Wiggins had been dealing with an illness and a stinger injury.
Baltimore also made a change at kicker, promoting Jake Moody from the practice squad to replace injured kicker Tyler Loop. Loop went on injured reserve with a right groin injury.
Jacksonville's inactives are wide receiver CJ Williams, cornerback Alijah Huzzie, safety Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig and defensive end Wesley Williams.
