AI creator Nick Saraev says Amazon canceled his Nvidia DGX Spark orders and closed his account, with an email citing a verification process and giving no reason. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney describes canceled orders after trying to buy two Nvidia GPUs. Amazon has not publicly explained.

AI creator Nick Saraev says on X that Amazon closed his account after he tried to buy seven Nvidia DGX Spark AI mini-PCs. According to Saraev, he attempted to place four orders for the systems through Amazon, and Amazon subsequently closed his account. He said the four separate orders were placed on Oct. 31, totaled seven units, and were all canceled. Screenshots from Saraev point to seven units in total across the orders, and each cancellation said he had not been charged.

The account closure email

Amazon closed the account after the orders. Its email cited a verification process and said a final decision had been reached to close the account, without stating a specific reason.

Tim Sweeney's experience

Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney says he ordered two Nvidia GPUs on Amazon, and the retailer canceled the order shortly before it was due to arrive. His account stayed open, he said. Sweeney said Amazon kept accepting his routine orders and then canceling them shortly before the scheduled delivery date. That pattern began after he tried to purchase the two GPUs, he said.

Amazon's response

Amazon has not publicly explained the account closure or the cancellations. The cause of the cancellations is unconfirmed.
