Breeze Airways is adding nonstop flights to six destinations across the US and Caribbean. New service includes Tampa to Montego Bay, St. Thomas and Santo Domingo, three routes from Buffalo, and a return of scheduled service to Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The airline is seeking to capture demand after Spirit Airlines' shutdown.

Breeze Airways is adding nonstop flights to six destinations across the US and Caribbean. Spirit Airlines' shutdown earlier in 2026 disrupted several popular leisure routes, and Breeze is seeking to capture some of that demand. Breeze is a low-cost carrier based in Utah that aims to offer easy, low-cost flights between smaller cities and avoid large airport hubs.

Caribbean flights from Tampa

Breeze plans to launch nonstop flights from Tampa to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands on December 16, 2026. The St. Thomas flight is not classed as an international flight. Nonstop flights from Tampa to Montego Bay, Jamaica, are planned to start on December 19, 2026. Breeze also plans to launch flights from Tampa to Cancun, Mexico, on December 19, 2026. Service from Tampa to Montego Bay in December and to Santo Domingo the following June would be the airline's latest international destinations.

Flights from Tampa International Airport to Santo Domingo's Las Américas International Airport will begin June 18, 2027, with two weekly flights. Breeze's Caribbean schedule from Tampa includes Montego Bay, St. Thomas and Santo Domingo.

Buffalo, Myrtle Beach and Raleigh-Durham

Breeze plans new connections from Buffalo to Raleigh-Durham, Myrtle Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. The three nonstop routes from Buffalo Niagara International Airport start in summer 2027: Raleigh-Durham on June 29, Myrtle Beach on July 1 and Charleston on July 2. Only the Raleigh route faces competition, from seasonal Frontier Airlines service.

Breeze plans nonstop flights between Myrtle Beach and Boston beginning May 4, 2027, competing with American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Myrtle Beach is a key market for Breeze as it tries to fill the void left by Spirit's collapse, whose exit significantly reduced passenger totals. Breeze is also adding nonstop flights between Raleigh-Durham and Nassau, Bahamas, beginning June 30, 2027.

Return of service to Latrobe

Breeze will restore scheduled passenger service at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, which lost its commercial airline connections following Spirit's exit. Latrobe–Myrtle Beach flights are scheduled to begin Feb. 9, 2027, followed by Latrobe–Orlando service on May 26. No other airline operates either route.

Breeze operates an all-Airbus A220-300 fleet and was founded by David Neeleman.
