Melissa Rycroft was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on Sunday, November 1, in Texas. It was her second DWI arrest in a year. Southlake police arrested her in connection with a Halloween hit-and-run crash. Records cited by Entertainment Weekly show the arrest was made by officers from the Southlake Police Department, the same agency that booked her in 2025.
Officers accuse her of hitting an ambulance that was stopped at a stop sign and driving away. Police found her a short time later. For the latest offense, she faces three charges: second-degree driving while intoxicated; driving with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility; and collision causing damage to a vehicle greater than or equal to $200.
She was transported to the Keller Regional Detention Facility, where her bond was set at $9,000. Tarrant County Jail records indicate she had not yet posted bail and was in custody at the Tarrant County Corrections Center in Fort Worth.
Rycroft pleaded guilty in August to a DWI charge from September 2025. She agreed to 20 months of probation, avoiding 280 days in jail. She was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and additional court fees, including a trauma fine.
Rycroft-Strickland appeared on season 13 of The Bachelor franchise and is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She has been married to Tye Strickland since December 2009, and the couple share three children.
