Catherine Bell, a "Good Witch" star, joins "Mistletoe Murders" for Season 3. Season 3 guest appearances include Bell and Holly Robinson Peete. Sarah Drew plays Emily Lane, owner of a Christmas shop in Fletcher's Grove, New York, and Peter Mooney plays Detective Sam Wilner.

Season 3 picks up right after last November's cliffhanger, in which Emily answered the doorbell and found her shady ex, Aaron, played by Aaron Ashmore. Season 2 ended with her opening her door expecting Sam and finding Aaron, and the Season 3 premiere starts with Aaron confronting her. Showrunner Peter Cuperus said the season picks up right where Season 2 left off, with Emily face-to-face with Aaron. The season will also show flashbacks of Emily's time at Chimera.

Drew said Emily is trying to navigate the walls closing in on her. She said that although Emily told Sam no more secrets, Emily has another secret she is not allowed to tell him.
