The Legend of Zelda Switch 2 special edition appeared on the Nintendo Store for $519.99 on Nov. 5, the day the Ocarina of Time remake launched. Target lists restocks for Nov. 6, GameStop has shifted to in-store allocation, and Walmart has announced no restocks.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launched on Switch 2 on Nov. 5. The Nintendo Switch 2 - The Legend of Zelda - 40th Anniversary Edition appeared to be available on the official Nintendo Store for $519.99 that day. The console does not come with Ocarina of Time and costs about $20 more than the standard edition handheld. Nintendo's own listing says more inventory is on the way, and customers can get new-stock notifications through the Nintendo Store app by wishlisting the device.

Target and Best Buy

Target's listing page states that restocks of the console will arrive both online and in-store on November 6, after previously highlighting November 5 as an in-store restock date. Target previously confirmed through the listing that it will restock the console online on Friday, Nov. 6; the message was removed and then returned, and the console will also be restocked in-store that day. Best Buy planned to open most of its US stores at midnight, or at staggered local times, to celebrate the Ocarina of Time remake launch. The special edition console was to be available there on a first-come, first-served basis.

GameStop

GameStop has dropped web restocks of the special edition handheld, Pro Controller and carry case in favor of in-store allocation only. Its console restock was listed as in-store only, and the button later changed from in-store only to coming soon.

Walmart and the Pro Controller

Walmart has not itself announced any restocks of the Zelda Switch 2; a November 6 restock date is only rumored. A Reddit post suggested Walmart would not get more consoles until at least November 6 because it was struggling to fulfil existing preorders. The limited-edition Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 Pro Controller was available at Walmart for $99 with a low stock message. The controller was in stock at $99 on Nov. 5 and later sold out.
