Countdown clock points to Thursday

A countdown timer recently surfaced on ozzfest.com. Ozzfest launched the clock on Tuesday, November 3, and it will reach zero on Thursday, November 5, at 10 a.m. ET. An announcement regarding the 2027 Ozzfest appears to be planned for November 5, and an official announcement appears to be getting closer. The festival had previously been expected to hit the U.S. and Birmingham, UK.

Talks with Live Nation

Sharon Osbourne told Billboard earlier this year that she had been in talks with Live Nation about bringing the festival back next year. In that interview, she said the talks concerned a return as early as 2027.

The festival's recent history

The last Ozzfest took place in 2018 as a destination festival in Inglewood, CA. That one-day event was held at The Forum, with a lineup that featured Rob Zombie, Body Count, Marilyn Manson and others. In 2025, Villa Park hosted the final live sets from both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath as part of the "Back To The Beginning" concert.
