Sony has released PlayStation 5 system software update version 14.22.00. The patch notes for update 26.07-14.22.00 say the company made some security fixes to the system software.
According to the PlayStation Game Size account, which tracks changes in the PlayStation Network database, launching Grand Theft Auto VI will now require firmware 14.22.00 instead of the previous version 14.10.00. The account said on Twitter/X that PS5 firmware update 14.22 is needed to access the game, following the previously required 14.10. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19.
The previous public exploit, Relapse, only supported PS5 system software up to and including build 13.60.
